P44 2022 KAWASAKI KLR650 F I R ST LO O K A fter a two-year hiatus, the Kawasaki KLR650 is back! The KLR650 was elimi- nated from Kawasaki's lineup in 2018 but will return early summer 2021 as a 2022 model. The all-new 2022 KLR650 is fuel injected and features a new multi-functional digital instru- mentation panel with a fuel gauge that is paired with a new fuel tank design with greater useable volume. Kawasaki says, "numerous parts have been updated for increased riding confidence when carrying luggage, reduced vibrations and increased generator capacity, contributing to the improved performance and ride comfort." It also features a new LED headlight, updated clutch, stronger wheels, and larger brakes that are available with optional ABS (a $300 upgrade). The 2022 KLR650 isn't alone; it will be joined by two KLR650 special edition models, the KLR650 Adventure and KLR650 Traveler. The Adventure comes equipped with factory- installed side cases, LED auxiliary light set, engine guards, tank pad, and both DC power outlet and USB socket and is available in the Cypher Camo Gray colorway.
