IIIMY OWN RACE: 14 DYLAN FERRANDIS 2-12 450SX Dylan Ferrandis was thrilled to get on the podium, second, on Tuesday night. "I never expected this race," he said Tuesday. "It's a big surprise to be here on the podium, honestly. I always work really hard, and it looks like it paid off. I gave everything I had all the way to the checkered flag. We had to think a lot on the bike to be crea ve and find new lines and to try and do some different things on track to be be er. I wasn't trying to rush anything, and some guys made mistakes." Saturday wasn't as magical. "It was a difficult track," he said a er ge ng 12th in Saturday's race. "Nothing really crazy, but it was hard to do everything correctly and make no mistakes. We struggled a li le bit with the bike and tried some differ- ent se ngs today...but it didn't work. We came back to what we had at the last race, but I just didn't feel good on the bike today. I was a li le red from the past two races with the lack of training this winter." However, he's not happy, knowing it could have been much more had he not been "robbed" by a penalty that he feels he didn't deserve at round two, and having a lapped rider cost him a seemingly sure Ken Roczen was not happy with Dean Wilson (next to Osborne, concealed), who likely cost the Honda rider the 450SX win Saturday night by not heeding the blue flag on the last lap while Roczen was leading. Wilson apologized, but for Roczen, that doesn't help with the points he lost.
