2021 MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS SERIES, AN FIM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 1 / JANUARY 16, 2021
NRG STADIUM / HOUSTON, TEXAS

WHERE'S MAX?
The Twisted Tea/H.E.P. Motor-
sports Suzuki Team came into
the Houston race down one
rider. Brit Max Anstie did not suit
up after suffering a back injury
while training a few days earlier.
He is expected to return soon.
The team's other two riders,
Adam Enticknap and Brandon
Hartranft, didn't fare much better,
finishing 20th and 21st, respec-
tively, in the main event. This was
Hartranft's first 450SX race and
was impressed by their speed.
THE OTHER MAX
Seventeen-year-old Max Voh-
land made his Supercross debut
in the 250SX East class and
performed well all day and night.
Vohland, the son of motocrosser
Tallon Vohland, suffered a crash
early in the main and worked his
way up from 12th to ninth. "The
first race went good," he said.
"I made some mistakes but it's
a learning experience and we'll
make sure to come back on
Tuesday to fix those little tweaks.
The goal was top-10 and that's
what I achieved tonight, so we're
happy with that."
