Since she had no tools, she flagged down Senior B racer Paul Nelson who loaned her his fanny pack. After figuring things out, she eventually tied the two broken pieces of cable together above the carb slide and reassembled everything. The hard part was trying to ride with her right hand reaching over to the left side of the bike and tugging the throttle cable while steering only with her left hand,
