Brabec's rally has been a tough one.
The defending champion won the
Prologue and opened the road on
Stage One, losing a huge amount
of time in the process. A disaster on
Stage Six, where he lost 25 minutes
to the leader, effectively squashed
his chances of retaining the Dakar
title. But it's not over yet, and the
Californian lies sixth overall after two
consecutive stage podium finishes,
17m42s off leader Cornejo.
