Alessi In For Arenacross M ike Alessi says that he plans to race the 2021 Kicker AMA Arenacross Series as a member of the Babbits Kawasaki team. "I am very excited to be joining Team Babbitts for the upcoming 2021 season," Alessi said. "I feel the team is a very strong and successful team. I have watched them for many years. I feel the knowledge that they bring with my skillset will make for a great season. I am excited to try some- thing different, and I'm looking forward to putting on a good show out there." The first two rounds of the series will be held at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi, January 8-9. The series is scheduled to wrap up in Amarillo, Texas with rounds 11 and 12, March 5-6. CN IN THE WIND P34 Mike Alessi will compete for the 2021 Kicker AMA Arenacross Championship. 2021 Isle of Man TT Canceled T he 2021 Isle of Man TT races have been canceled for the second year in a row due to Covid-19. "We do not underestimate the disappointment that this deci- sion will cause to many people," Laurence Skelly, MHK, Minister, Department for Enterprise, Isle of Man Government, said. "How- ever, we are making an early and logical decision to provide certainty and clarity to race fans and everyone else involved in our event. The TT relies on thousands of volunteers and officials across a wide range of organizations and we could not move responsibly towards operating to that date and commit to welcoming tens of thousands of people to the Island in June, despite the progress towards a vaccination program globally and on the Island. "We evaluated all possible op- tions including moving the TT to a date later in the year but there are complexities and risks." The Department will continue to work with its partners towards delivering the 2021 Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix, which are scheduled to run August 21-Sep- tember 3. A final decision on whether those events will take place will be made in Spring 2021. CN The plug has already been pulled for next year's Isle of Man TT, which annually takes place in May.
