IN THE WIND P28 Third Indy Supercross Round Added T he 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, schedule has been adjusted to include a third race in Indianapolis, Indiana. Lucas Oil Stadium will now host a trio of races as rounds four and five will take place on Saturday, January 30 and Tuesday, Febru- ary 2, as originally planned and round six will now take place on Saturday, February 6. The schedule will resume on Saturday, February 20 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona as originally scheduled, followed by the Daytona Beach, Florida, round on Saturday, March 6 and then the Arlington, Texas, rounds will now be Satur- day, March 13, Tuesday, March 16 and Saturday, March 20 at AT&T Stadium. The season finale will take place at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. Three rounds of the 17-round championship will be announced later as will the remaining East- ern Regional and Western Re- gional 250SX Class races, Triple Crown and East/West 250SX Showdown events. CN There will now be three Indy Supercross rounds in 2021. Alex Martin Finds New Home A new race team has been formed for the 2021 su- percross and motocross sea- son. The Manluk/Rock River Yamaha/Merge Racing Team announced that it has signed for- mer JGRMX/Suzuki Team rider Alex Martin. "I'm super excited to be work- ing with my new team; Manluk/ Rock River Yamaha/Merge Rac- ing," said Martin. "I had some of the best years of my career with Yamaha. I'm looking forward to what the new team can do in 2021. Three great organizations and I'm grateful that we could organize this new team" The release describes the Manluk Corporation as "…a global supplier of turnkey manufacturing solutions. Manluk ships product to over 20 coun- tries throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia, Australia, Middle East and Africa, support- ing industries such as on and off-shore drilling, wellhead, downhole tools and mining." CN Alex Martin will race for the Manluk/Rock River Yamaha/Merge Racing Team in 2021.
