KLX300
K
awasaki just introduced a new
model for 2021—the KLX300 dual
sport. The KLX300 replaces the
previous KLX250 with a bump in engine
displacement, from 249cc to 292cc. Bore
has increased to 78.0mm (from 72.0mm)
but stroke remains the same at 61.2mm.
It also shares the same cam profiles as
the off-road only KLX300R. Compression
increased just a tick, from 11.0:1 to 11.1:1.
With more power on tap, the water-
cooling system has been updated with dual
radiators that are slimmer than before.
Chassis, suspension and bodywork are
unchanged.
The new 2021 KLX300 comes with a
$5599 MSRP (a $200 increase) and is
available in two color options, Lime Green
and Camo Gray ($5799). CN
(Above) Alongside the KLX300 dual
sport comes the new KLX300SM dual
sport. It features 17-inch front and rear
wheels and street tires, supermoto-tuned
suspension and supermoto styling.
