Talon in 2wd or even i-4WD for a little extra roost in the
face of the competition.
We first had the distinct pleasure of trying Honda's
Launch Mode during the Talon 1000X4 launch
during a ride at the Chief Mountain West OHV area
in Nevada. Then, when we got our hands on the
2021 Talon 1000X Fox Live Valve edition, we played
with it again. It was fun to experience the innova-
tion companies like Honda have when finding little
touches to build their SXS brands. So, where else
would you use the Launch Mode other than a start-
ing line? We started using it every time we, well
started – literally. It's addictive.
Once you feel it, you will want Launch Mode all the
time. Your passenger(s) will beg you to do it, as well.
It really takes off! In the bottom of sand dune bowls,
and other rapid-acceleration spots are real-world
uses. Combined with Honda's i-4WD, Launch Mode
puts serious power, and acceleration to the ground.
The machine simply moves. Combine that combina-
tion with FOX Live Valve suspension on those models,
and you get a theme park ride you didn't even know
you signed up for. The Talon FOX Live Valve models
simply push you forward with a sensation that has to
be experienced. Get out and try it! And, if you're lucky,
you can try it next to your friends talking about big
horsepower numbers.
