UTVNEWS.COM 49 KLIM is a leader in advanced pow- ersports apparel, always pushing the limits of technology and mate- rials to bring high-quality products to market. We've enjoyed being in KLIM gear from snowmobile rides to dirt biking trips and always feel like we're wearing extremely great gear when it's with us. Our Real World Rides video series has given us the opportunity to use KLIM's helmet lineup inside the Honda Talon extensively for the past two summers. And, as we prefer to wear full-face moto-style helmets most of the time we drive, we've really grown fond of KLIM's F3 series. Now, the F3 series isn't the top KLIM helmet in their catalog, that would be the F5. But at nearly half the cost of the F5, the capable F3 is fighting way above its weight class. The F3 ECE/DOT is plenty light for all day wearing and is among the lightest composite shell helmets we use. It's not as light as their feathery F3 Carbon ECE, but with- out the DOT designation, using the Carbon ECE version is selling yourself a little short. Most states that require helmets, require them to meet DOT standards, so that's what we run, and we always run a helmet no matter what state we're in. It's just more comfortable to be as safe as possible. The F3 ECE/ DOT fills this need perfectly. Our favorite part of the F3 from KLIM is its no-frills approach to a great fit, and high quality. It's light, it looks like a premium helmet and the fit and finish match the looks and quality. The liner is very comfortable and not cheap like other mid-range helmets on the market. Paired with KLIM's Viper Pro goggle, the combo seals out dust to your eyes very well and blocks wind perfectly for high- speed vision, but still allows fresh air in to cool of your brow and head from the heat of friendly on-the- trail battles. When we run a Bluetooth com- munication system, we don't even take these helmets off when we stop! Color choices are plentiful, and if you catch it right, you can find non-current colorways from KLIM at a lower MSRP. From red-blood- ed American Flag motifs to the subtle solid black (our favorite), there's a style to match you or your SXS perfectly. KLIM has a reputation of being extremely great, but also extreme- ly expensive gear. With the F3 ECE/ DOT helmet, you can just enjoy how great it is.
