Jedi or even the location of the most recent film being Jumanji, "Welcome to the Jungle," which had taken over the Osbourne Lookout for a few days inApril 2019. Do not be surprised during the late evenings and during the night if you hear what sounds like live bombing taking place. The military uses the Navy target 68 as well as the East Mesa between Coachella and East highline canals for testing at times and in the dead of night it can be incredibly fascinating to watch. If you have always wanted to visit the sand dunes but didn't know which to choose, Glamis would be a great first experience. MOAB CLOSEST TOWN: MOAB UTAH Permit required: Yes More Information: www.discovermoab.com Situated right below Arches National park and to the east of Canyonland National park, Moab Utah has a lifetime of adventure waiting for any SXS owner. With the La Salle mountains peering over from the east and the mighty Colorado river running through you can find many places to ride here and almost any level of terrain for those who love to test their skills. Although known in the UTV industry for rock crawling, Moab does have some incredible views and is popular for mountain biking as well. Claimed to be the most popular destination, Poison Spider gets much love from the UTV crowd. This incred- ibly technical location starts along the Colorado river and climbs to the heavens through several near vertical rock trails. This slow-moving scenery is breath taking and during our rides here it left an impression of pure amazement. Slipping up off Potash Rd or Scenic Byway 279 you climb up to the rim overlooking the Colorado river. Off in the distance you can also see the town of Moab almost 1000 feet below. The terrain here is mostly made of Navajo sandstone slick rock with some sandy wash bottoms and massive rock ledges. The steep slickrock climbs are what drives off roading SXS owners to test their skills. Most know that airing down is key to climbing some of these walls of rock with the reward being the view from the top as your buddies make their way up. Most of the popular rock sections that seem most challenging have nick names like wedgy, waterfall, golden spike among others. Another great place to ride in Moab is the Seven Mile Rim. This does also have some interesting rock forma- tions as well as the ability to really open the throttle on your UTV. It would be our suggestion to step out to wipe out hill and test your fear factor (or pucker factor for that matter) and then drop in to the Tusher Tunnel or maybe the Uranium Arch for a lunch break.
