JGRMX Suzuki Closes Shop

uzuki announced it has termi-
nated its relationship with
JGRMX, which had run Suzuki's
factory racing effort in super-
cross and motocross the last
three years. Suzuki says it has
decided to change directions,
though it is not clear what direc-
tion that is at the moment.
It's no secret the JGRMX/
Suzuki team has been struggling
with results lately, a lot having to
do with a rash of untimely injuries
to many of the team's key racers.
Suzuki said in a release that it will
announce its future racing plans
soon.
The release reads: Suzuki
Motor of America, Inc. has
concluded its partnership with
Joe Gibbs Racing. The com-
bined efforts of Suzuki and
JGRMX were able to deliver
solid results and raise the level
of performance of each of the
team's riders.
Together, Suzuki and JGRMX
demonstrated the potential
of the Suzuki RM-Z250 and
RM-Z450 motocross machines

JGRMX race team. Factory
Connection also shut down its
racing effort last month.
