Stoner Reveals He Has Chronic Fatigue
Syndrome, Seeks Cure

Stoner has revealed to Aus-
tralian breakfast television show
Today his battle with chronic fatigue
syndrome, otherwise known as
MECFS.
Stoner, a two-time MotoGP World
Champion in 2007 and 2011, has
been battling the disease since
2018 and is now helping to raise
funds for a research center for a
cure in Australia.
"Currently, we have no cure,"
Stoner said from his home in
Queensland, Australia. "We don't have enough
information on things that can help. If we have
more specialists and more knowledge in it
(MECFS), and people can see doctors and
maybe get a bit of help get some understanding

long-time publicist Cheryl Lynch who is recov-
ering from a ruptured colon, subsequent emer-
gency surgery and septic shock infection.
One of Lynch's clients was former Supercross
Champion Jeremy McGrath, who posted on Insta-
gram: Hi everyone, I need a huge favor from you
guys. This is a picture of Cheryl Lynch, she was
my publicist for many, many years, some of you
might remember her... After multiple complica-
tions following a knee replacement surgery, she
found herself in the ICU fighting for her life. She
needs our help. Please donate if you can. Thank

Lynch reported via e-mail, Monday, November
9, that she is recovering at home. "I know many
of you have heard about my recent health emer-
gency, and many of you have come to my aid
sharing the link, posting and donating—so thank
you from the bottom of my heart. After spending 3
1/2 weeks in the hospital, I am home recovering
which is a slow painful process."
