(Right) With Beaubier gone
for next year, attention turns
to who will get his prized
ride in the Yamaha team. At
this stage, that's very much
unclear. (Below) M4 Ecstar
Suzuki's Sean Dylan Kelly
(40) had his most dominant
performance of 2020, taking
his first double win in the
Supersport class. Richie
Escalante (Honos Kawasaki)
looked like he was on for the
race-two win until Kelly fired
it up the inside on the final
corner of the last race of the
year, beating the 2020 class
champion to the finish in a
thrilling race. The race-one
podium was filled by Kelly,
Yamaha's Brandon Paasch
and first-time podium man
Cory Ventura (Kawasaki)
with class returnee JD Beach
taking the final spot on the
podium in race three. In the
championship, Escalante
was uncatchable coming into
Laguna Seca and finishes up
with 381 points to Kelly's 341.
Paasch is third with 260.
