Any hopes of Aprilia's Andrea Ian-
none returning to competition in
2020 were served a further blow on
Friday when the Court of Arbitration
of Sport (CAS) announced it would
not finalize its decision on the Ital-
ian's case until mid-November. Ian-
none's appeal against an 18-month
ban given by the FIM was heard by
the CAS on Thursday and Aprilia
had hoped to know their decision as
soon as possible. The ban stemmed
from the one-time MotoGP race
winner testing positive for a pro-
hibited substance last November.
The matter is complicated as the
World Anti-Doping Agency reacted
