FLAT TRACK
PROGRESSIVE AMERICAN FLAT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP
ROUND 13 / OCTOBER 9, 2020
CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY / CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA
P122
"We've come a long way from not
making the first main event of the
year at Volusia. It's been a dream
of mine and my family's, for sure.
It was a big goal but it's just a
steppingstone for the goals I have
set for myself."
Mischler finished second, his
third-straight runner-up finish this
season, and Zabala third.
AFT PRODUCTION TWINS
Latus Motors Harley-Davidson
rider James Rispoli headed
into the weekend with a sizable
48-point lead. With four rounds
the Roof Systems DFW/Duffy
Fleet Services KTM 450 SX-F
were all battling for top honors in
another AFT Singles dogfight. As
the clock ran out, Mischler took
the lead while the two Illinois
riders—Daniels and Zabala—were
locked in battle. With winning as
the plan, the champion elect got
moving and made another last-
lap pass on Mischler to take his
eighth win of the season and the
number-one plate in Charlotte.
"Everybody has put in so much
work and effort," Daniels said.
"With these doubleheaders,
you can make up a lot of points
in a matter of two days. I knew if
I won, I had it," Daniels said. "If I
got second… I tried to add it up
and I'm not good at math. So, I
was like, I'll just win. Then I can
declare that I got it and I don't
have to think about that."
There were multiple riders
that wanted to win it, as well.
Cornerstone Masonry/B&M
Masonry's Cole Zabala, Roof
Systems of Dallas, Texas' Trent
