12 points (355-343) over Mon-
ster Energy Kawasaki's Adam
Cianciarulo, last year's 250cc
class champion. The 31-year-
old Osborne, the oldest AMA
Pro Motocross Champion ever,
also ended the three-year title
reign of Cianciarulo's teammate
Eli Tomac as number-one, who
ended the series ranked third.
Ferrandis notched his first
major title with a third place overall
in the final round, allowing him to
hold off former two-time champion
Jeremy Martin of the Geico Honda
team by 13 points (390 to 377).
Speaking of the Geico Honda
team, the Pala National marked
the end of their days in the pad-
dock, as the team told its riders
and staff that it was closing its
doors for good after parting
ways with longtime title sponsor
