CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY / CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA

from the points leader. Rispoli
was trying to hold on to the final
podium spot but was passed
by a hard charging Trent Lowe
on the Roof Systems of Dallas,
Texas/Bruce Lowe Excavating
Yamaha MT-07. On the final lap,
Lowe made a move for second
but was caught up with a lapped
rider and had to settle for third.
With Rispoli finishing fourth,
Texter was able to gain 10 points
on his rival to make it a 38-point
difference going into the finale. CN
The race was good. The track
was really technical. It was rough
in some spots, so you needed to
have good fitness. I feel like a lot
of guys might have worn down
there at the end. I was able to
stay strong the whole main event
and bring home a win."
Behind him Rispoli and fellow
Harley-Davidson XG750 rider,
Wally Brown Racing's Chad
Cose battled for most of the
race. Cose was able to take
second and distance himself
remaining (ultimately three), that
meant crunch time for defending
AFT Production Twins Champion
Cory Texter. So the G&G Racing
Roof Systems rider did the only
thing he could do—win.
"I've been working hard these
last few months trying to finish
off the season strong," Texter
said. "It's kind of a big gap right
now in the points, but as long as
I can finish the season strong, I
think I can be happy with what
we've accomplished this year.
