With his rival Wiles having a tough weekend, finishing fifth in Friday's race and missing the main on Saturday after being collected in a crash with Daniels' teammate Mikey Rush in the semi, Daniels holds a 70-point lead with four rounds remaining. The battle for third was fought between Coondoo Cattle Co./ Australian Road Services Kawa- saki rider Max Whale and Kitch- en, with the Australian being able to hold off Kitchens advances to return to the podium for the first time since Springfield and move into third in the standings.
