NPEG Announces Patrick Koether
Memorial Sportsmanship Award
P
atrick Koether was an amaz-
ing ambassador for the motor-
cycle community who had a love
for Enduro Racing and also had a
large hand in lifting Rekluse Mo-
torsports into the huge success
that they are now. He took great
pride in the Rekluse brand and
wanted to see it succeed.
Patrick enjoyed helping out
a fellow racer or enthusiast. He
would put anyone else's needs
before his own and was always
there to help anyone in need.
The sportsmanship that Patrick
displayed throughout his whole
life was remarkable.
After Patrick lost his battle
with cancer earlier this year, the
NEPG, Rekluse Motorsports
and Patrick's family wanted
to create a special award in
Patrick's honor. For 2020 the
NEPG will be accepting nomina-
tions and selecting a National
Enduro Series rider or enduro
enthusiast that has exhibited
great sportsmanship for the
2020 Patrick Koether Memorial
Sportsmanship award.
The NPEG would like for you
to submit nominations of a rider
or enduro enthusiast of the
Kenda AMA National Enduro Se-
ries that go above and beyond to
show the same sportsmanship
that Patrick displayed. Someone
that is always willing to help out
another rider, club member or
anyone involved with the series.
Someone that is helpful to all,
uplifts others and that stands out
at the races as a great ambas-
sador of the sport.
Please send your nominations
to info@nationalenduro.com
along with a brief description as
to why they should be chosen.
A winner will be selected by the
NEPG and will be announced
after the final round of the Sea-
son in Turkey, Texas. CN

Memorial
Sportsmanship
Award.
