Colorado's Kelby Pepper was pictured on the cover of Cycle News 30
years ago. He was one of only three Americans who earned a gold medal
at the ISDE in Vasteras, Sweden. The host country won the race, while
Team USA struggled to 12th... Scott Parker won his fourth straight San
Jose Mile... Randy Renfro won the final AMA Superbike National of the
year at Willow Springs... Randy Roche topped the World Superbike
round at Le Mans... Scott Summer
won his fourth GNCC of the year at
the Birch River Run.

won the Castle Rock TT portion of the F-USA Championship... Jimmy
Jarrett topped the John Penton GNCC in Ohio... The Ty Davis-led
Montclair Yamaha team won the 24-Hours of Glen Helen... Kelly Smith
won the first round of the AMA Fall Classic/Eastern 4-Stroke Nationals at
Budds Creek.
