"It was kind of a crazy race with
the red flag while my teammate
and I were running 1-2," said Dan-
iels. "It sucks that [Rush] went
down. He was going away with
it; honestly, I don't think I could
have caught him. I was running
third and Henry was kind of going
away, so I got into second as
quick as I could. I settled in and
saw I was kind of catching him,
so I knew I had to go for it. I put
my head down and caught him
with about two laps to go."
Daniels was able to take over
just as the time was expiring and
led the last four laps opening up a
0.6-second lead.
Wiles was a solid second as

red flag just short of the halfway
mark, Rush was able to build up
over a three-second lead on a
track with 14-second lap times.
On his 19th lap, Rush lost the
front and slid down; just that

Duffy Fleet Services, KTM 450
SX-F), Daniels and Max Whale

tralian Road Services, Kawasaki
KX450F) all moved up.
Wiles, who has several wins on
this track, looked to have another
one in the bag. Young Daniels
didn't see it that way and started
his pursuit of the veteran.
six-minute-plus-two-lap main.
After the first main was run, two
more semis (using a different sys-
tem for lineup so the races were
not a repeat) were used to set the
second main.
The first main saw Mikey Rush
(Estenson Racing/Yamaha Rac-
ing, Yamaha YZ450F) grab the
lead over fast qualifier Brandon
Kitchen (Donley Excavating/TCD
Suspension, KTM 450 SX-F)
and Henry Wiles (RMR Honda/
Honda Talon, Honda CRF 450R).
Kitchen got crowded off the tight
back straight and dropped all the
way back to 13th.
As the shuffling was going on
Dallas Daniels (Estenson Racing/
Yamaha Racing, Yamaha YZ450F)
took over second but couldn't
