The seri es, which is sponsored in part by Galpin Ford, T housand O ak s Yam ah a, T ru T ee, RCP and Pro Circu it Racin g, was the riders' fin al cha nc e t o land a good finish in hopes of cla im ing th eir share of more than $4 0,0 00 in various lev els of sponsorship for the upcoming 2001 season. Bryan and Cha d Nelson (no rela tio n) foun d the longer -than -normal CRC grand prix layout to the ir lik ing, as they finished off the series wit h the Vet Expert/ Pro an d Vet Interm ediat e class wins, respecti vely. B r y an Nelson sta rted th ings off wi t h t h e V et Ex p ert /P ro- cla s s holesho t , over Ric k O 'Don nell , Jon Zahrt and Paul Reed. Parks and Norr returned to do battl e in the Supermin i class , with Parks grabbing the early lead. Norr was out f ro n t and pu ll ing awa y b y lap t wo u n t i l one o f h is e yeg la ss le nses popped out of i t s frame . Norr wa s back in act ion after some trackside optometry, but Park 's lead was just a littl e too much to overcome and he had to settle fo r a runner-up fin ish, ahead of Andrew Vandenberg. Th e Women's class was a Ternera N e i t zel affai r , a s th e M oo se/ D irt Rider/ IMS/H RP-b ack ed KTM rid er led every lap for a most co nvinc ing vic tory .
