November 25. was also the finale. and it was America n Mike laRocco who was crowned as the champion at the sold-o ut event. Round-one winner David Vuillemin was not involved in this final round and with the new points system. Fact ory Connection /Amsoil /Dr. Martens'/Joumeys Honda's laRocco and retiri ng Greg Albertyn were the favorit es for the title - despite the fact that J eremy McGrath was qu ite fast in practice . McGrath holeshot the main, and LaRocco was slowed significantly by a crash. but the eternal hard charger came all the way back to second by the last comer.
