How ev er , a mu ch need ed shower th e n ight before t he r ac e was ju st en o u g h to make t he t ra ck c o nd it io ns nearl y perfect. The 7 - m il e t r a il w as a m i xtu r e o f r o ots and loam , and th e on ly sectio n that turn ed nast y was a muddy turn af ter th e cree k crossing . One rider rep orted a bik e buried up to its seat in tha t secti o n - a h ar d l esson on p i ck in g li nes! Daniel Morrison edged ou t Geo rge Gr eer and D ean In g r am in t h e f ir st turn to take t he lea d going into th e woods. Greer got by M o rrison usi ng an inside line and took ov er the lead for t h e first two laps of the five-l a p race . R.J. Ferguso n also passed Crawford for second, and Crawford came in third , bo th finishing just seconds behind Craddock. Chance Bak er took th e early lead in t he 250cc A class . W he n B a k er missed a t urn o n t he seco n d lap, Stac y J o nes made t h e p ass. J on es and Baker battled bac k and forth for m o st of t he r a c e . When Canada slowed down for some slo wer M in i riders, Morto n took an inside l in e o n t h e entire g roup and mad e t h e w inn i n g pass .
