DealerSupport Series Round 3: Pax Irax MXPark Gonzalez Wins Again at Pax Trax By C RA IG J OH N SO N AN D A N G ELA H A RD E N BONNELL, FL, OCT. 28 e rrat ia Go nzalez won yet again at the third ro und of the third annual Dealer Support S eri e s a t Pax Tra x MX Park , exte nd ing her po ints lead in the Pee Wee Shaft (4-6 ) cla ss . She pulled both ho leshots and led both motos all the way . Her nearest competitor was J e ffre y Mulder, who kept her honest o n his way to a 2 -2 tally. In the first m oto, Ia n Holm , Tyle r Campbell and Liz Lance followed the two lead ers , but Co lton Ca rr qui ckl y t o o k fifth a ft e r two turns and th en pass ed Campbe ll for fourth . Ca m pbe ll battled back and retook fourth at the end. The to p three - Gonza lez, Mulder and Holm - were way out front and stayed th ere to the end . The s e cond m ot o e n de d in the same o rder as the first. Bo th Colton Carr and Hunte r Ca rr m ove d around Lance fo r fifth a nd s ixth , respectively , in t he fir s t few co rner s . Meanwhile , u p fron t, Go nzalez p ulled out a s lig ht le a d by the checkers over Mulde r and Holm . T he 250cc C class wa s the b igg est a nd th e m ost exciting of the day . T he first -moto hole sh ot went to J oseph Caliendo , followed by Jordi Wood son , T od d F u rm an, To m Henderson and Chr is Gunth er. Caliendo pu lled ou t a slight le a d. After a bad sta rt , Rod MacKi nnon was o n m ove. After one lap , MacK innon wa s in fourth; by the third la p , he wa s s ec ond. This put Woodson , Furman a nd Ton y Thrower far b ehind . Hogrede p a s s e d Thrower fo r s eco nd . Ca liendo got by Furman for fourth. Throwe r started to fade a t th e halfwa y m ark , a nd Calien do and Fur man were there to capita lize. Cali en do dived to the ins ide before th e ba c k strai ght. Th rowe r and Cal iendo wer e s ide by s ide down the enti re straight until th e last t a b le to p; Cali endo out jumped T h ro we r and mov ed into third . Caliendo then set his s ights on Hogrede. The lea d ers ran into lapped traffic on the last lap ; Caliendo took a dvantag e o f t his and too k second awa y from Hogrede . Furm a n also got by Th rowe r. The fastest class of the day was the co mbined 125c cB and 250cc B c o n t e s t. C h ristian G ilbert led , fo llow ed by J im Chludzinski, Les Burnside , Way ne Hod g es a n d St e ph e n Do uglass . Mik e Bretzel (KTM). the co rner in fro nt of the starting line , and the order of the top five was se t to the finish. Gilb ert agai n pu lled the holeshot in t h e s e c ond moto . Chludzinski, Hodges , Douglass and Jon Grant fo llowed. The battle was aga in fo r sec ond , as Gilbert pu lled out and never lo o k e d back. Hodges expe ri enced probl ems th is m oto , fa lling and d rop pi ng to sixth, which put Doug lass in third, foll owed by Burn side and Grant. Hodges battled ba ck to fifth before bad luck struck again - anothe r fall put him back to sixth agai n . This time Todd Stavac took his turn in th e top five.
