Sibley was around both Stewa rt and T ucker and was quickly closing in on Garcia . Garci a put up a good figh t, but with a couple of laps rem aining, Sibley took the lead and th e first -mota victory. Ste wart. Tu ck er a nd Heisser took turns runn ing in third plac e, with Stewa rt taki ng his tum wh en it co unted most: at th e checkers. Garcia proved his flrst -rnoto ho lesho t was no fluke as he nailed the second -mota sta rt. over Sible y and Heisser. Sibley drop ped Gar cia to seco nd place by la p two and sta rted to pull away from the field, Stewa rt was m ak ing his way toward th e front after a midpack start and overtook Heisser fo r th e runner- up posi tion at the mi dway po int. Sibl ey was all alone at th e chec k ers for a clean swee p of th e class. Stewart' s 3 -2 sc ore go t th e better of Garcia's 2-4 and Heisser 's 5 -3 for seco nd ov erall. Chris Elliotl ab sconded with th e 125cc Interm ediate fl rst -moto ho leshot and went wire to wire for the win.
