KTM em ployee Hy de . who is perhaps m ore accustomed to woods racing, had little trouble negotiating the tight co n fi nes of this supercross -style fairgrou nds t rack. Hyde handily bested the rest of the Over '40 class, including series regulars Gerry Bennett and " Bu ff alo " Bill Re iss . who fini shed second and third , resp ectively. This jewel of a tra ck. loca ted in the rolling hills of southem Ohio, features a lengthy course with a plethora of both man-made and natural obsta cles, not to mention a host of off -cam ber and tric ky c o rn e r s, w ith so m e gn arl y . ol d sch ool up hill and downhili secti ons to test the rider s' nerv es. With wonderful, warm weather and the threat of a sprinkle, th e more than 200 racers on hand were tr eated to a pleasant racing event in nearly perfect conditions.
