As always at Donner, it was a thrill to retrace the paths of heroes such as La m pk in , Tarres , Aaron and Young wh ile enjoying th e br eathta king vistas of th is specta cular facility. Metteauer and Dennis Th ompson were perfect in their first lap around th e half m ile loop as they clean ed all e ig h t s ection s t o turn in th e b est c a rd s in the early going . Close behind with o ne poi nt each were Van Gaas b e ek , Gordon Mu rp hy and J o s eph Qu inn, with Le e Bai le y posting a two point c a rd.
