and Schmidt had a little battl e of their o w n
go ing on aft er Emerso n went by , with Han sel
e n d i n g up in t hird at the midway p oint.
Schmidt retaliated on th e next lap, regaining
third and kn ocking Hansel back to sev enth.
On th e last-lap push . Em erson m ade a cl ean
pass stick on Tinney for th e lead to co mplete
his perfect m ota sco re on the night . Ti nney
hu ng on for seco nd, with Schmidt earn ing a
respect able third in the moto .
When the m ota sco res were talli ed. Em er ·
so n's ba ck -to -back wins left no do ubt as to
the ove rall winner on the night, w hile Ti nney 's
5 -2 m ot o finishes were good for second ove rall. Hansel' s 2-5 fini shes earned him th ird afte r

not finish . McC oy cha rged into th e lead and
managed to weave through the fallen ride rs for
the entire m ota. resulting in 3- 1 fin ishes and
the overa ll. Shimek cl aim ed second at the fin ish for third ov erall. Angelo 's third-pla ce fin ish
in th e second moto gave him seco nd overall.

giving him first overall in hi s fi rst Pro outi ng.
"I was really nervous riding agai nst Will oh,
bei ng who he is, but I beat him," said O 'Con nor. " It's kind of a good th ing to sta rt a Pro
ca reer off, bea ting J eff Willoh. I'm not going to
get too confident, because I know I'm goin g to
get my butt k ick ed some time . But (win ning I
feels really good . I get c a sh instead o f a
plaque - th at' s pretty good."
