Gaylon Dickson topped t h e series points list in the Over 25 plus O pe n Expert class , with Stratton seco n d . D ic k s o n also won the se ries overall in the Over 30 pl us Op en Expert class. Round ing out the Vet Expert pod ium were Barry Carsten and Dag Bo yes e n. The final round of the series featured an auction to benefit th e Matt Wa rren ' Sc ho lar s hip Fund, in mem ory the Walden Playbo ys club member who was fa ta lly injured racing last yea r. Th e auction raised $1840. Carlo Co en got a great jump off the first 250c c Open Expert gate and led the pack of 28 riders th ro ugh the first t urn and w ent w ire to wire uncha llenged for th e m oto win . Rounding out the 250cc Ope n E x p e rt p o diu m were Kra tz a nd Dic ks o n . "It's real im po rta nt to get a good start," Coen said of his second-moto ride . "T h e track is really slip pery today, a nd you just have to stay o n it. Da ve wa s putting a good c harge at t he end , a nd I j ust kind of hung in there a nd did what I had to do ." Ryan O 'Ma lley na iled the holeshot in the firs t 12 5cc Ex p e rt moto , b ut the hometrack favorite, Ryan Mills , was a ve ry close s econd , and he had th e lead by the start of lap two . Round ing out the top five were Brod s ky , Paul Corey, O'Malley a nd Kratz, who had to wo rk his wa y through the pa ck after a midpack start. Mills ha d a six -s e cond lead on Brod s k y by the sta rt of la p three . Kratz pass ed bo th O 'Malley and Corey for th ird . David Ginolfi th en passed O 'Malley fo r fifth . Kratz passed Brodsky for second and then tried to catch Mills , but couldn 't. Mills won the m o to , with Kra tz, Brodsky, Co re y and Ginolfi tr ailing .
