Morgen a nd La rr y Leg a rra eac h rode three classes at t h e AHRMA N o r th w e st Regional Motocross held in Carson City, Nevada . Each finished the day with two overall wins. Pent on· mounted Morgen CZ pilot Robert Bo rg in the Classic I 25cc race, and he rod e to a solid third overall in the very rapid Over 4 0 Expert class. Then, in the Sportsman 25 0c c Expert co ntes t , Morgen got the holeshot. on ly to relinqu ish the lead and the mota wi n to Honda mounted J im Row . T he second mota start ed the same way , but this ti me Morgen didn 't let anyone get by, It was an excelle nt rac e, with Row trying every thing he co uld to get up front. but Morg en was sm oo th and fast - and fir st to th e che ck ered nag. The first Over 40 moto was won by Bill Gros si, with Brad La ckey fourth o n a 250c c CZ. For the aft ernoon race , Lackey borrowed a 4 00c c CZ , and a pparently he felt much m or e at ho me on that m oun t : he too k the win.
