for the rest of the year, for the
rest of the racing sea so n?
l' d like to enj oy myself, I'd like to
have fun do ing it. I' d li k e to wrap
up the GNCC Ch am pi onsh ip , tha t
would be a feath er in my ca p. I'd still
li k e to win a ra ce on t he 520 and 380
KTMs, th ey 're the o nly on es I haven 't
won a rac e o n ye t . I'd love to get my
hands o n th e 250 fo ur -st ro k e and win
a race on that, but maybe because of
a couple of poo r r esults I' v e h ad in
the GNCC sea s on I m igh t need t o
conc entra t e o n w r a p pi n g up th e
c h a m p io nshi p riding ju st o ne bik e,
like t he 200 or so met hing fo r th e next
few races . But I'm st ill very ke en o n
rid ing a di ff erent -size bike ever y time .

of taking the easy way o ut.
N o , you know you bite off more
than you can chew and chew lik e
crazy , that pretty much sums me up. I
could probably have had the GNCC
very close to wra pped up by now if I
wo uld have concentrated on j ust riding the 200 for the whole year , but
that's not me . But that's the risk I've
got to take, I'm probably getting more
enjoyment right now out of chang ing

You know what really cheeks me?
T he way a lot of you r America n
rid ers make excuses afte r the rac e ,
when they do n't win . I' ve heard it a lot
this year - "Oh, I had the race won ,"
o r , '" should have won but. . . " beca use they had bad luck or whatev er. And they c an't just st and up and
say' w a s beaten b y a b ett er rid er
today . W e all co me c lose and m iss.
When I was riding that GN CC in Georgia th is yea r, and ' was lea di ng and fell
do wn and came in third, well th at was
my mistake , and I wasn 't the most
skillful rider o ut there . I didn 't win , I
had a rea so n there, but basically a
better rider beat me that day. Sim ple.
