Ra mse y would get by Schnell next for third as Pastrana was now some 12 -seconds ahead of Fonseca . Voh la nd took a lap to get by Schnell, bu t he di d so a nd got ba ck on to the ta il of Ramsey in th e closi ng la ps. Pas tra na kept his pace, a nd when th e c heckers fle w for his fifth moto win of the ye ar, he was nea rly 20 sec o nds ahead of Fonseca. Ra msey bob bled in the sand whoops on the final la p , a nd Vo h la n d passed him a b it later for third . Casey Johnson, FMF/Ho nda 's Danny Sm ith and KTM's RodrigThain rounded out the top 10. A huge pileup ensued in th e first turn beh ind them. Roncada a vo id ed the pileup , bu t h e was in 13th . Buckelew led for over three laps as Pastrana pressured. Vohland made an aggressive block-pass that surprised Fonseca in a ch icane before the finish on lap th ree for fo urth. On the fo urth circuit, Pa str ana held it on a b it longer down th e dow nhill to ta ke over t h e lea d fro m Buc ke le w. "J usti n is o ne of the best 12 5cc riders th e re is," Pa strana sa id of h is rival. "We used to b attle all the time, a nd he u se d to always beat me. He was flying the first few laps, but I wa s able to get by him ."
