The XR Challenge race hel d at all SoCal
XR events is a comb ined stock and modified
gate. To add a co mpetitive edge for th e stoc k
bikes , the track was run in reverse. Becau se of
the wa y th e tra ck was laid o ut, non e of the
bik es were able to double any of th e j um ps .

ab le to catc h Vega in the t wo -lap race. Vega
co ll ected his $ 57 and said , "That's th e firs t
time I've eve r beat J immy: he'll get m e back ."
