Texas. When the gate dropped in the first rnoto, KX60-mounted Jeff Petty grabbed the holeshot, with Ward. Shea Foucheck and J on Mason Russell (who was also on a KX60 ) giving chase. Petty's lead only lasted one lap, as Ward took o ve r and ne ve r loo ked bac k. Then. with two la ps to go , Pe tt y c ras hed o ut an d Rus s ell ad va nced into second . But Fo uchec k was on the move , and he sent Rus sell ba ck to third. David Cavin Pella and B.J. Shields also got past Russell and tried to keep pace with Fou check. Ward took the mot o win, with Foucheck, Petta , Shields and Russell rounding out the top five. In mot o tw o. Ward pulled the hol eshot , wit h Petta and Fo uch e ck rig ht on his re ar fen der and Petty just to the outs ide on the first co rne r.
