The Italians boasted two World Cha m pions (Chiodi and Bartolini). and on e World Champion runne r·up (Federici ). Individual performances from Jamie Dobb in the 125 class where he t o o k his Suzuki to seco nd overall. and a doub le-win for H o nda's Stefan Everts meant t hat both Great Britain and Belgium were in contention.
