The T short -track race was held on Friday evening before th e we ekend 's nation al road race a nd motocross events a t Sears Poi nt Raceway. Ho nda rid er Tom Hort on again sh ow ed his s horttrack prow ess , win ning six of the six races he e ntere d. Solano County Fairgrounds: Rick Hocking (13) leads Tom Horton (55) in the Over 35 Vet class at the AHRMA National Flat Track event in Vallejo, California. Rick Hockin g , on the A&A Bulta co , abscon ded with th e hol e shot in the Over 35 Vet cla ss. Try as he m ay, Horton was never a ble to move the crafty vet eran off the bottom of the racetra ck, a nd the to p side was out of the question . Hoc king was rea lly buzzing the Bull, a nd on the ba c k st raight of the 12th a n d - fina l lap , the c ra nk bro ke . Horton motored to the win, with Diana Perri a close second. Horto n bu ilt a Classic Open stock fram ed 650cc Triumph over the win ter, and Ch ris Apple 's Tr iumph was unable to stay with the speedy short tra cker. McCarver's flathead Harley was third .
