The rain started early in the morning, prior to practice, and never let up. Eventually, only 199 hardy riders opted to compete on this hilly, slimy circuit. With temperatures hovering around the mid-40s, the constant drizzle made for a miserable time - unless you were a mud-loving, hard-core motocrosser from the Buckeye State. Apparently, the lure of cold cash (in the form of Suzuki contingency money) drew many of the faithful to this second-year track in the rolling backwoods of Southern Ohio. Promoter Tony Kilbarger, along with track designer Dennis Robertson, chose to limit the punishment of the riders by shortening the event to one long, mucky moto - which seemed to play right into the hands of the feisty Kuchler twins from Westerville, Ohio, who have run in the mud since they were on 60s On their trusty, red Hondas, Shaun Kuchler wrapped up the 125cc A class, in front of F&S Suzuki's Ryan "Mickael" McHale and RM rider David Van Curen, and Scott captured the 250cc A class as well as the 16-24 class. Scott slid his CR250 to the front of the 250cc A class in front ef fast Kentuckian Jared Wolfe and third-placed Tommy "Too Cool" Collier, who is also sponsored by F&S Suzuki. Not content to just shock the Experts, Scott laid down the law in the 16-24 division, besting very quick off-roader Robbie Jenks, on his Yamaha. Shaun KuchJer slipped in for a solid third place behind the lead duo. eN Demus Gunason Hon BOA Shawn Morgan Wayne Ballien Bryan Snbbougha Jake Hogan KelJen TarneI BY RUPERT X. pEll£lT VETB Ron Decker George Smk Vmrent Nebbia Matt Burris MatJ.hew Nicely OPEN A BMX 250 NOV Kevin Geiger Steve Ward Billy DaVlS Dave Wiedeman Mike Herman Matt Bwns Rick Snchter Ike.lost Adam Harvey CraJg LewIs RANDY "STORMIN'" NORMAN Han Yam Kaw Han Yam Kim Herman ~ene Harp Valene BlShop Pam Barth KyJa Sink Kaw Kaw Kaw Kaw Kaw OPEHMlHI MImIIICYc:LE ..... ,Yamaha VZ125, VZ250 SP•••_ ..NCY, Axo, Pro-Action, • 608 Ike.lost Jusnn Decker RlcI afh.->r the eVl'nt 10: Results, Cycle News, P.O.
