Loretta's my first 125cc race will be at English Town in October". Stewart turned really fast lap times all weekend aboard a pair of very trick Pro Circuit hybrid Kawasaki minis that seemed a notch better than the competition's best equipment. Meanwhile, Team Thousand Oaks Yamaha's Michael Blose kept his month long win streak going with the overall 125cc Open class title. "At this level it's all about having competitive equipment, getting good starts and having luck," Blose said. "Fortunately these things came together with the help of Bret Corley and a few other instrumental people this week." Blose also posted a close secondplace finish in the School Boy class behind future Pro Shane Bess and third in the Modified 125cc Intermediates behind Team Yamaha's Ryan Florida's Don McGourty and Texan Jonathan Kerr shared overall 14-16 class victories with McGourty taking the Stock class and Kerr the Modified class. Team Thousand Oaks/R [, D Racing-backed Mike Alessi took home another three championships winning both 60cc Stock and Modified 9-11 classes and the 80cc 7 -11 Stock event. Austin Stroupe looks ready to take over Mike Alessi's throne in the 60cc division after his departure at the end of the year. "I am real happy about winning the Morias. "I didn't know I was going to race Kyle Gano (177) puns a beautiful holeshot during 125cc Intennediate action. today's final until this morning when I got the doctors report," said Morias. "I have the speed to win today, especially after I won the 125cc Stock Intermediate class early in the day," Gray said, "but the bolt on the bottom of the cylinder came loose and caused water to suck down into the crank and it wrecked the cylinder, and my championship." In the end Morias went on for the victory followed by a very determined R.J. Thompson. "This is the class I wanted to win most of all," said Thompson, "but I guess I should be happy with two class championships in the 250cc Stock and Modified Intermediates." The mini cycle ranks could have had there own separate national within itself with 21 different classes of competition. "You have to watch these miniS pretty close," said track referee Tom Hudson. "This week we had nearly 20 protests and we did find a number of illegal machines, and in one case we had to escort the participants out of the facility." While Hudson did a great job policing and enforcing rules, a number of minicycle standouts found themselves in the limelight. To no one's surprise, Kawasaki's James Stewart was the top minlcycle racer, taking wins In several classes throughout the weekend. 60cc Stock 0-8 class," Stroupe said. "My KTM 65cc is real good so I will be ready to move up to the older class." Stroupe was on his way to the Modified class win too when an electronic failure stopped him dead in his tracks and opened the door for the Kawasakis of Trey Canard and Dustin Pipes who respectively went 1-2 for the overall finish. Cobra riders Colton Bailey and Ian Trettle faced off all week in the Pee Wee ranks. Bailey took home a hardearned Stock 7-8 class title while Treftel rebounded with the Super Teeny Mini 6-9 championship. eN Mosier Veney USA Mosier Veney, Texes Results: Merch 17-19, 2000 TEENY MINI STK (4·6): 1.
