Q Brit Dougie Lampkin (Man) won the first two rounds of the FIM World Championship Trials Series in Cordova, Spain, March 18-19, In both rounds, Lampkin was trailed by Spanish teammate Marc Colomer and Japanese cohort Takahisa Fujinami, On Saturday, Brit Graham Jarvis (Bull and Spaniard Marcel Justribo (Man) rounded out the top five, while Spaniard Marc Freixe (G-G) and Brit Steve Colley (G-G) did so on Sunday, The third round of the AMNFMF National Enduro Series in Greensboro, Geor9ia, on March 19 was a good one for KTM, as the manufacturer took four of the top five positions, Former champion Michael Lafferty took the win over teammates Allen Gravitt and Brian Garrahan. Yamaha's Randy Hawkins, who won the first two rounds, finished fourth ahead of another KTM rider - Patrick Garrahan. Charley Bogard, Denny Stephenson and Buddy Antunez (Suz) were the big winners at National Arenacross Series round in Nampa, Idaho, March 1718, Bogard swept Friday night's main events, while Stephenson and Antunez traded wins Saturday night. Jeff Willoh (Han) posted two fourths and two thirds. Johnny Campbell and Tim Staab (Han) combined efforts to win the SCORE San Felipe 250 in Baja California, on March 18. The duo finished the race in three hours, 40 minutes and 29 seconds. Jonah Street and Steve Hengeveld (Han) teamed up to finish second with a time of 3:42:03. Philip Zieger and O o Ron Wilson (Han) finished approximately 40 minutes behind the Street/ Hengeveld duo in third. Steve Plater (Kaw) beat his teammate Peter Goddard (Kaw) and Daytona 250cc Grand Prix winner John McGuinness (Han) to win the Race of the Year, heid at Mallory Park in England on March 19. Next weekend marks the beginning of the British Road Racing Championships, with the opener set for Brands Hatch. Bobby Bonds (Han) emerged from the 24th annual GNC International Final in Mosier Valley, Texas, as the big winner, March 18-19. Bonds swept all four motos of the 125 and 250cc Pro classes.
