Blanchester. Ohio's Chuck Reed comes on
strong every year at Marion; the Suzukimounted racer just seems to have what it
takes to win at these tight indoor tracks. Over
a weekend of racing in the Marion Indoor
Motocross Championship Series, Reed took
the money in three out of four Pro classes, and
he placed second in the fourth.
Promoter Tab Thompson laid out an excit·
ing course inside the small confines of the
Marion Coliseum, and upwards of 400 racers
from the Buckeye State, Pennsylvania, Illinois,
Indiana and even Canada made the trek down
to the Marion County Fairgrounds for some
serious indoor motocross. While it was snowy
and brisk outside, the moto wars were being
waged with a hot ferocity inside the concrete
palace from noon to night.
During Saturday's Pro·class racing, north·
ern Ohio's Vince Karnow offered some com·
petition to southern Ohio's Reed. Karnow

fought every lap, his Suzuki matching the
moves of Reed's yellow machine at every cor-
ner. While Reed had the speed on the 125s,
Karnow took the victory on the 250s; this was
the only moto that Reed would lose on the
weekend, however.
We're proud to offer the most comprehensive contingency plan in the business.

Trying to eek another season out of those
worn-out moto boots? Let's face it, competition motorcycle racing is more than just
hard work, it's downright expensive. It's
frustrating when you give it your all to
take the checkered, and all you have to
show for your sweat and toil is a shiny
little trophy. Husqvarna is going to
change all that. We produce the best

the third spot in the ] 25cc Pro class, holding
off Tommy "Too Cool" Collier, in fourth.
Zach Ames continued his winning ways in
the 65cc and Mini Junior classes. He captured
first-place trophies in three out of four motos
over the weekend. Ty "Danger Boy" Bowers
took the other win away from the "Zach
Attack" in Sunday's Mini Junior class.
