tally, while California chiropractor Lloyd Boland piloted his CZ to second overall with 3-3 finishes. Yamaha rider Craig Simpson finished third. Boland returned in the Sportsman 500cc Intermediate class and used consistency to take the overall win; Ryan Dickson and J.T. Southern finished 2-3. New Mexico's Howard Watts earned his first-ever AHRMA win in the Classic 250cc Novice ranks, riding a Wards Riverside, a machine rarely seen in running condition these days. Second fell to AJS Stormer rider Eugene Crawford, who was able to taste victory in the Classic 500cc Novice race. Ed Flanigan Jr. and Mark Simpson traded wins and runner-up finishes in Sportsman 500cc Expert class, with the overall going to Flanigan. Vince Baulch made his Expert-class debut in third spot. Balch ran second to Brad Lackey's CZ in the Over 40 Experts, but had his hands full in moto two with an impressive Curtis Comer, who was riding a 150cc Honda SLJ 25 in that class. Comer came up a bike-length short at the finish, but didn't figure in the overall results after missing the first moto with a flat front tire. Comer did put in a pair of nice rides in the competitive Classic ] 25cc Expert class, defeating runnerup Robert Borg and third-placed Norm Bigelow.
