The North American Motorcycle Union (NAMU) has released a schedule for the inaugural Continental Championships events. which will take place under its sanction. Hayden was the lone Yamaha rider at the test as Jamie Hacking was testing in Japan. Hayden ended up the qUickest of the 600cc Supersport riders. lapping at 1:31.46 - ahead of Chaparral's Damon Buckmaster's 1:32.4. and Yates' 1:32.65. Roger Lee Hayden lapped at 1:35.4 on his 600 and 1:33.2 on his Chaparral GSX-R750. Yoshimura Suzuki's Jason Pridmore crashed his 600 on cold tires on January 26. suffering a twisted ankle. He came back the next day. however, to lap at 1:28.81. "It was on my out-lap on the 600," Pridmore said of his crash. "I was going so slow. I barely tipped it in and it high-sided me. I was just cruising along. I wasn't even at the apex. I guess it was just cold and there wasn't a lot of grip." American speedway riders Greg Hancock and Billy Hamill will once again be flying the flag for the USA in the World Championships. success. The third Repsol rider Tadayuki Okada - crashed out of the test on January 28 at the Valencia Circuit and didn't take part in the final day. Okada suffered a concussion, but no other injuries. Criville, meanwhile. lapped at 1:35.58 with Gibernau turning in a 1:35.71. Okada lapped at a best of 1:37.1 prior to his crash.
