The Red Bull KTM team held a media day recently to introduce
its Supercross and motocross team of Nate Ramsey, Josh Hansen
and the Alessi brothers - Mike and Jeff - with the media and team
sponsors taking part in a go-karting endurance race in teams of
fIVe at Apex Raceway in Perris, California.
After two endurance-race motos with drivers switching off
every five laps, the Josh Hansen-led team of Donnie Hansen, Red
Bull's Dane Herron, freelance journalist Steve Cox and Cycle
News editor Paul Carruthers emerged from the race with the
overall victory.
FollOWing the official race, all hell broke loose at the track
with a free-for-all breaking out. Despite spins, crashes into barriers and blatant take-out moves, everyone survived.
