Midwest Indoor Dirt Track Series Round 2: Muhlenberg County Convention Center Going Around in Greenville By BOBBY LEWIS GREENVILLE, KY, NOV. 11 T here was a slim rider turnout at round tow of the Midwest Indoor Dirt Track Series in Greenville, Kentucky. Those who came found the small oval smooth but extremely slick. Thomas Goodnick continued his dominating ways, winning all the heats and mains in the 50cc Chain division - a feat that he also pulled off at round one. Robert Hall kept him honest, chasing him home for second each time out, followed by David Grief. Hayden Gillim recorded six wins on the night, sweeping the 200cc Amateur and 85cc classes. He held off Jake Lewis for the close win in each, with NiCk McFadden railing to third in the 85cc short track, over Evan Fields and Molly Terry. The IT saw the top two remain the same, but Fields moved into third, over Mcfadden and Terry. Lewis would claim the top spots in the 65cc ranks, and he held off a race-long charge from Jeff Carver and Gillim to claim the 200cc Pro-Am short-track victory. Carver led the 200 Pro-Am IT and started to open a gap, but it was closed up when the red flag brought about a four-lap dash to the flag. Carver led the single-file restan to score one of his four class wins of the night. Nathaniel Vowell found his way to the front in both the short-track and TT Mad Dog mains, along with the 250cc TTwin. Chris Boone was hounded by Bill Gruwell for the top spot in the Open Pro-Am main but didn't budge and held on for the tight win. Coty Dowland filled in the top three, over IT winner Travis Sprong, Carver and John Faulkner. Gruwell got the much-needed holeshot and took a convincing win in the Open Pro class, holding off Jason Goodwin, Boone, Sprong and Faulkner.
