For a Ride
Former Formula One driver Gerhard Berger was on hand at the final MotoGP race
of the year in Valencia, Spain. During the Austrian's career, he drove for ArrowsBMW, Benetton-BMW and Mclaren-Honda but is remembered more often than not
as a Ferrari driver. Berger won nine races during his Formula One career with a best
finish of third in the championship three times in '88, '90 and '94. At Valencia, he was
victim to Randy Mamola and the Ducati Desmosedici two-seater. Another celebrity
riding pillion behind Mamola was Michael Jordan, but this time it was on Mamola's
scooter, as Jordan, as he did last year at Valencia, can ride the Desmosedici solo anytime he likes, thank you very much.
Mamola and Berger.
