Can the Honda stay on top of the ultra-competitive --F king be crowned? to its little orange peeler. Right away, it became evident that there was a lot riding on this shootout, and thus, faced with the task of picking the "right" winner, what did we do? We took our time, that's what. After two full days of outdoor testing at one of our favorite tracks in the country, the suspension-pounding, horsepower-robbing, European-style Honey Lake MX Park in Milford, California, and another full day on the tight and twisty Supercross-style circuit at Starwest Motocross Park in Perris, California, and after even more time spent analyzing the data from dyno sheets and pouring over the various weights and dimensions of each machine, we feel confident in our pick as the winner of the 2006 Cycle News 250cc four-stroke motocross shootout. As for the podium contenders, well, we're not quite as certain. Check out our report and then decide for yourself. It won't be that easy.
