Rockstar Energy Triple Crown Update R ound four of the Cana- dian Rockstar Energy Triple Crown Championship played out in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, August 29-30 at Sand Del Lee MX Park, where KTM rider Jess Pettis and Yamaha-mounted Phil Nicoletti came away with the overall wins. Pettis won all three 250 Pro- class motos for the overall win ahead of Tanner Ward (Honda, 2-12-3), Marco Cannella (Ya- maha, 3-7-5) and Jacob Piccolo (KTM, 16-2-2). Nicoletti won the first 450 Pro-class moto and went on to card 3-2. It was good enough to get the overall victory over points leader Dylan Wright (Honda), who won both the second and third motos after placing sixth in the first moto. Shawn Maffenbeier (Yamaha, 2-2-3), Matt Goerke (Kawasaki, 3-5-4) and Tyler Medaglia (Kawa- saki, 5-4-5) rounded out the top five overall. Pettis leads Marshal Weltin (Kawasaki), fifth on the day, in the 250 championship. Pettis has 226 points and Weltin 218. Ward is third with 208 and Can- nella is fourth with 202. Wright has built a comfortable lead in the 450 championship. He leads Nicoletti by 24 points. Goerke is next best, 29 points behind Nicoletti. In the Triple Crown, which includes supercross and ar- enacross racing, Wright has a 22-point advantage over Nico- letti, and Pettis enjoys a 22-point lead over Weltin.
