n event that began back in 1987, Superbiker is perhaps
the biggest Supermoto race of the season - at least in
Europe. With past winners that have included fivetime World Champion Georges Jobe and
motocross/supercross legend Broc Glover, the annu I
event at the circuit Jules Tacheny in Belgium is a popular one, a
this year saw some 30,000 people in attendance.
This year's event featured two-time World Superbike Champ
Troy Corser, nine-time World Motocross Champion Stefan Everts,
multiple-time AMA Grand National Champion Chris Carr and 2005
AMA Supermoto Champion Jurgen Kunze!.
The weekend's activities in Mettet was loaded with special
though the one that gave the crowd something to cheer about
the Starbiker event - a race that included riders from all diU
sectors of the sport.
That race was won by the man many consider the greatest
Supermoto racer of all time - Stephane Chambon. Chambon finished
ahead of his factory KTM teammate and 2004 World MX3 champion Yves Demaria, with Didier Jadoul finishing third.
